we went to the chapel and...

we watched my friend, Jenny, get married at the Mandalay Bay hotel in Las Vegas. It was a nice ceremony, up until Payton belched during the prayer!! talk about embarrassing!! I fed her during the ceremony and towards the end, she needed to let out some air...oops, sorry jenny.

Jenny looked so beautiful in her dress and I was glad to be a part of her special day.
I am so happy for my dear friend and wish her a lifetime of happiness with her hubby.

rolling over

Our baby girl is surprising us every day. I put her down to change her and she decided to roll on her side as usual, and then she flipped right over on her belly!! I was clapping and cheering like a crazy parent and she stared at me with confusion. I am so excited about her milestones so excuse my bragging:)

Thumb Sucker!!

I finally caught Payton sucking her thumb and it is too adorable!! She always sucks on her hand, but she actually found her thumb and I love it. Call me ridiculous:) hopefully it won't last long because it will be a bad habit to break.

Little Swimmer

Payton is such a trooper! I put her in what I thought was pretty cold water, and it didn't even faze her. She had a grand time in the pool. I loved seeing her thunder thighs in her tiny swimsuit!! I am getting her ready for swimming lessons a little early. There will be much more swimming ahead of her, so hopefully her easy-going personality will continue.

Relaxing

While we were at the B&B in 29 Palms, we did a lot of much deserved relaxing! It was so nice to be together as a family and just cuddle up.

i am finally getting some time to myself as payton becomes more independent. she loves her new bumbo and exersaucer!

first mom's day

there is nothing more that could make me happier than being a mom! i adore my baby girl in every way. she brings such joy to my life. i am truly blessed to have a happy and healthy daughter and husband. i couldn't ask for a better life. every day is a new beginning and i am thankful for what god has given me. thank you to my husband for your love, support, and friendship. i look forward to many more mother's days!

what a hoot!

Payton and I tagged along with Seth back to 29 Palms, CA where he is training. We are staying at this gorgeous B&B until Friday. They make the most delicious bfasts here...I am going to have to go on a diet!! Hopefully the owners will be willing to share their recipes with me. Last night, we had some visitors of our own. We saw a family of 5 Great Horned Owls. What a sight it was!

Play Time

Payton has just discovered her hands and they never leave her mouth! I gave her a rattle to play with and she can grasp it, but when she tries to put it in her mouth, well..she hits her face because she isn't quite coordinated. We are working on that skill and hope that she discovers her feet soon because it is so adorable when babies try to eat them!!

Mt. Rainier

Living in CA is wonderful and we have beautiful sights to see but nothing tops this one! On my flight home yesterday, the pilot flew us right above Mt. Rainier! It was a gorgeous day and I was happy to see the pretty view that I miss dearly.
